The Gardiner Museum

I went to the Gardiner Museum which is a short walk from the Royal Ontario Museum.  I didn't love this museum.  Now maybe that's because I had just seen a number of museums which were better or maybe its because I am not really that knowledgeable about ceramics.  Its two floors and relatively small.

The thing that was nice about the museum, is they were great with my daughter.  She was bored so they sent her on a hunt to find the various ceramic animals through out the museum.  They even had a board member come around and help us look for the animals.  So their kindness made up for the collection which I found disappointing.

While I say this, I think I would have liked the classes.  The classes appear affordable. Furthermore I think maybe I would have had a better appreciation for this form of art if I had much of history working with it.  I would give this museum a 2/5.  If you are short on time in the city and not a lover of ceramics you can probably skip this museum.
